Church Plants

Church Planting

For a number of years the vision of Camelback Bible has been to plant churches. By God’s grace the vision has come to fruition within the last two years with the planting of two new valley churches.

Roosevelt Community Church...
-Ministry to downtown Phoenix

RCC, ministering now for two years, is located within a distinctive historic building in downtown Phoenix and the home of a growing community of believers who represent the wide variety of populace in the fast-growing metropolitan area. The mission of RCC is to exalt Jesus Christ and glorify God by being his salt and light in downtown Phoenix. The prayer is that by God’s grace a strong church body will rise up to proclaim and demonstrate Christ’s love to the people of urban Phoenix.

Under the leadership of Pastor Vermon Pierre, with the support of Pastor/Elder Bob Korljan, Sunday Evening Worship Services moved to Sunday mornings on Easter of 2005. The gathered worship emphasizes expository preaching and engaging music.

Within the Sunday Children’s Program the desire is to see children grow up with a strong foundation in God and a deep relationship with Jesus Christ. The Sunday School, which is held in the middle of the Sunday Worship Service, offers worship and stimulating Bible stories and activities.

In addition, a growing ministry of Small Groups provides a setting where people can grow together, invest in each other’s lives, and engage in God’s work in this world. Indeed, small groups are the heartbeat of the church and meet twice a month for prayer and Bible study.

Way of Grace Church

Roughly thirty miles west of downtown Phoenix, the small farming community of Buckeye is poised to become the fastest growing area in the U.S. over the next thirty years. But behind these statistics are real people who need to move, not only into a new home or area, but into the kingdom of God through God’s grace.

In 2004, Camelback Bible, desiring to see the kingdom grow in the growing Southwest Valley, began to put the pieces into place for a new church in Buckeye: Way of Grace Church. In the summer of 2005, pastor Bryce Morgan and his family were sent out, with two other families to form the nucleus of this new work. In October of 2005, this team began a Sunday Gathering, meeting at Buckeye Union High School. The next month, a Wednesday night home group began as the second key feature of this new community.

We follow one lord, Jesus Christ, who has made a way of grace through his offering of love on the cross. We belong to one body, the church, that community of followers who reveal God’s way of grace through the love of Jesus Christ. We are guided by one truth, faithfully preserved in the Old and New Testaments, and authoritative in describing this way of grace through Jesus Christ. We are each called to one mission, to declare and demonstrate the loving reign of Jesus Christ in order to invite others to this way of grace.

Our desire is to bless the burgeoning community of Buckeye and the Southwest Valley by walking in and calling others to God’s way of grace.
