Excel Ministries
High School and Junior High
The student ministry of Camelback Bible Church is made up of junior high and senior high students from across the Valley. Our name, EXCEL, helps to define who we are and what our purpose is as a ministry. 1 Thessalonians 4:1 encourages us to “EXCEL in a life that is pleasing to God.” While the world encourages youth to live life for themselves, our call as young Christians is to live wholeheartedly for God. After all, this is what life is all about! It is our aim to point students to Jesus Christ so that they might discover and live this new life in Him.
To accomplish this goal, the many students in EXCEL meet together around God's Word, in prayer, in music, and in service. EXCEL meets weekly on Wednesdays from 6:45-8:30 PM in Fellowship Hall and at 10:40 AM on Sunday mornings. EXCEL also plans several activities throughout the year, including an out-of-town winter retreat for junior high students, a winter retreat/ski trip to Telluride for high schoolers, and a week-long summer camp in California.
If you are a student who wants to get involved, or an adult who wants to serve in EXCEL, please contact one of our Student Ministries pastors, Bill Pinalto or Brent Klontz.
Summer Camp, June 20-25, 2010 - Stay tuned for details!
